The board of directors election was not held at Wednesday’s annual meeting because quorum was not met. We needed 214 valid ballots and received 212. Twenty-two ballots were declared invalid because they did not have signatures or their addresses were illegible and could not be verified by the elections inspectors.
The Annual Meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, October 22 at 8 a.m. at Merit’s office at 1 Polaris Way, Aliso Viejo. The ballots will be opened at that time and votes counted. Homeowners are welcome to attend.
When quorum is missed on the first try, the threshold is reduced for the second election. With 212 valid ballots, we more than exceed the number required for Monday’s meeting.
